Summary/Abstract: This paper is dedicated to two great Romanian scholars who brought important contributions to the science and technology development in our country, in the first half of 20th century. Gheorghe Marinescu (February 23, 1863 – 15 May, 1938), physician, professor and academician, founder of the Romanian school of neurology remained in medicine not only neurologist and endocrinologist, but also as one of the promoters of clinical radiology. Dragomir Hurmuzescu (1865–1954), physicist, academician, is known to us as the father of the Romanian radiophony and founder of the electrotechnical education in Romania.
