Summary/Abstract: In this paper we propose three eschatological models of the resurrection of the body. These models are intended to present the Christian confession of faith regarding the reality of the resurrection of a man and to acknowledge the positive value of a man as the unity of soul and body. We suggest three contemporary eschatological models of the resurrected body, which provide a Christian perspective on human existence. These models emphasize the value of human life as a unity of soul and body as well as the living in the present moment in relation to the future resurrected body and they can also help to better understand the Christian mystery from the eschatological perspective. Our theses are based mainly on the writings of the authors such as Fabrice Hadjadj, Hans Urs von Balthasar and Gerald O’Collins, but also include ideas of Paul O’Callaghan or Joseph Ratzinger.
