Summary/Abstract: The 60 years that elapsed since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, conspicuously show and validate the value and the viability of the message of this document – a founder of the modern system of human rights, a document proclaimed as a “common standard” to be achieved by all peoples and all nations, all the structures of society and all individuals. In her address delivered in the opening of the International Symposium on “Dignity and Justice for All of Us”, organized on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the author analysis the significance and the more and more important role played at present by the dialogue with and between religion and morals, this dialogue creates a natural space of mutual understanding, religions having a huge potential for the cultivation of respect for human dignity, equality, freedom and solidarity it is by dialogue that the various constitutive, elements of society can harmonize their positions and efforts to promote common values. In order to be successful, such dialogue should be cultivated at all levels, down to the smallest collectivities, with a view to create an atmosphere that helps finding solutions to immediate and pressing issues.
