Summary/Abstract: From the total 397 fines imposed under the GDPR in Europe, since the enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation, in the first 8 months of 2020 were applied 178 fines (44%) in total of 53,425,784 euros. In this article we try to present the situation at European level through relevant statistics only for the period between June 1,2020 to August 31, 2020, starting from the top of the countries where the most fines were awarded, their top values and the legal basis of the GDPR fines. From this analysis we realize once again that Regulation 679/2016 is the law with the highest fines in the world, probably because that the value of personal data has far exceeded that value of the petrol or precious metals.
