Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has made clear many of the dilemmas related to the protection of life and health, not only about the efficiency of health systems, but also about of a moral nature. The aim of the article is to draw attention to some of them from the theological and moral perspective, with particular reference to the social nature of care for health and life. The reflections will take the form of a general presentation of problems and challenges related to the COVID-19 epidemic with reference to the fundamental principles of social life.
