Summary/Abstract: The right to education is laid down in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, the UNESCO Convention against Discrimination in Education, the Constitution of Romania, etc. The educational action should eliminate racist prejudices and stereotypes and promote the fundamental freedoms and human rights. The activity of human rights education should include both primary, secondary and higher education, as well as human rights education meant to train teachers, educators, public servants, all those in charge with the implementation of laws and the military personnel at all levels.
