Summary/Abstract: Works by Croatian writers have so far been published under widely varying criteria of copy production and textual criticism, with their Language and spelling frequently tampered with. The author, therefore, expounds the principles governing copy production for the major series Centuries of Croatian Literature. He pleads for uncompromisingly critical editions, this being the only way for the series to become a collection of models for a reliable history of Standard Croatian.
