Determination of soil structure by means of electrical resistivity imaging

Summary/Abstract: The use of resistive imaging in groundwater inves tigations has increased in recent years. RI is a non destructive method drive which offers an image endlessly. The method is based on the phenomenon of electric of soil vary, temporal moisture heterogeneity of the subterranean strata that may be assessed by the RI. The article shows the method as being less costly, may be done for larger surfaces and it can be performed in a short period of time. In this article it is reported a study that has been conducted recently to determine the relationship of geotechnical properties of a loamy soil with electrical resistivity.
