Summary/Abstract: In 2018 the author has conducted interviews and focus group discussions with 52 actors and 9 dramaturges. The main aim of her research was the mapping of the situation of Transylvanian dramaturges. This essay presents the experiences gained over the years by the interviewed subjects and focuses on the question: “when and why was the collaboration between actors and dramaturges fruitful or perhaps unfruitful?” The systematization of the experiences related to this issue is aimed, on the one hand, at drawing useful conclusions from negative experiences, and on the other hand, through the positive examples, at confirming that the dramaturge and the actor are indeed capable of effective cooperation and need each other’s work.
