Summary/Abstract: Adrian V. Rădulescu (1932–2000), a well known Romanian archaeologist, dedicated his entire life to the rich and inciting history of Dobroudja. Guiding himself by the Latin dictum eripitur persona, manet res, he left an important cultural heritage. He had a solid background in all that concerned history, human thought and culture, and was an eloquent speaker. His name is closely related to the study and preservation of monuments and archaeological artefacts in Dobroudja. He initiated and developed large projects to build or organise museums in Constanta, Adamclisi, Histria and Mangalia. He was the first prefect of Constanta County and the first rector of Ovidius University from Constanta.
