Summary/Abstract: Like those of other revolutionaries like Fidel Castro, Ernesto Che Guevara andFrank País, the figure of Camilo Cienfuegos, mysteriously disappeared in October 1959, was used forpropaganda purposes by the Castro regime. This article returns to some photographs of the youngcommander of the column « Antonio Maceo » taken from Verde Olivo, the official review of theRevolutionary Armed Forces, in order to highlight some recurring elements.
