The Balkan geopolitical knot and the Bulgarian choice

Summary/Abstract: The geopolitical challenges in the Balkans and Bulgaria are the result of the struggle for the formation of spheres of influence of global and regional factors. Geopolitical analysis assigns such a role in our region to the EU, USA, China, Russia and Turkey. The geopolitical strategy of these countries is realized by different economic, political and ethnocultural means. The security of modern Bulgaria is directly dependent on the ability of the state elite to balance between foreign interests and national benefits.
