Support for the development of people with autism spectrum disorders in the Slovak republic

Summary/Abstract: The article responds to the daily needs of parents, professionals working with children /adults with autism spectrum disorder, especially to the area of impaired communication of individuals with this kind of diagnose. Research is focused on the promotion of effective communication with people with autism spectrum disorders through modern technologies that might not only facilitate but mainly support the impaired area of communication. The article also presents partial results of professional cooperation of special educators and computer scientists who are developing software for parents and workers are working with individuals with autistic spectrum disorder currently, which can also be considered as communication bridge not only in difficult situations.
