FANTEZIA RUSTICĂ PRIN VOLOSENI BY TUDOR CHIRIAC: PERFORMING IPOSTASIS

Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the well-known work for violin from the Moldovan repertoire — The Rustic Fantasy „Through Voloseni” by Tudor Chiriac. The author presents an analysis of the musical-structural content of the creation focusing, in particular, on the references and recommendations of violinistic execution based on his own performing experience. Considering that the „Fantasy” is inspired by the Romanian folklore, the author's suggestions are centred round the use of academic violinist dexterity and, on the other hand, respecting the specificity of melos, ornamentation and folk interpretation of the analyzed music. The article brings into discussion — by analogy with the phenomenon of "historically documented interpretation", known in academic music — the subject of „documentary interpretation” of compositions for violin inspired from Romanian folklore, by several composers from the Republic of Moldova.
