Authors prayer poems in Bulgaria literature and their relations to other Slavs literature

Summary/Abstract: The prayer works of old Bulgarian authors preserved in Russian transcripts are another proof of the significant cultural and spiritual ties between the Bulgarian and other Slavic peoples. The Slavic spiritual and cultural connections are illustrated in the prayer poems created during the Bulgarian Revival period. The interrelationships between Russian and Bulgarian literature are also evident in the use of fundamentally new approaches to creating poetic prayer, such as the types of "my" ("own") prayers, as well as in poems that reveal reflections on prayer, which is a fundamentally new way of mastering the prayer discourse. The penetration of the prayer discourse in the spheres of culture, politics, and public life is a part of the general world process of transferring the sacral-religious model to the field of secular life. An illustration of the expansion of the functional possibilities of the prayer discourse are the prayer poems with the refrain "God Save the King", which appeared in Bulgaria in the early twentieth century, and much earlier - in Russia (1815), Poland (1815) and Serbia (1872).
