Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the scientific literature on the causes of the occurrence of difficulties for families in children's education, neglect, lack of social skills, addictions, inability to manage the family budget, unemployment, poverty, violence and other problems. It also presents the activities of a social worker to help these families integrate into society and the attitude of families to social assistance provided and its importance to the family.
