Summary/Abstract: Alphabet or letter change in the Turkish world has emerged as a current problem from time to time and has created a process with its own difficulties. The alphabet changes in Ahiska / Meskhetian Turks, which constitute one of the important branches of Turkishness, appears before us with its unique aspects. In this article presented, the process of change in the use and teaching of the alphabet in the schools that carried out Turkish education in the Ahiska / Samtshe-Javakheti region of Georgia between the years of 1921-1944 during the Soviet regime is discussed. It is seen that Meskhetian Turks, who have created significant scientific and literary works in the Arabic alphabet for centuries, have used four different alphabets (Arabic, Latin, Cyrillic and Georgian) in the new type of schools from 1921 until the exile in 1944.
