Summary/Abstract: Based on the story of "patriotism" by the Japanese writer Yukio Mişima, the article interprets the socio-political landscape of the period. The story draws attention with many advantages. The main issue here is the course of events against the patriotic past. It should also be noted that the story includes dialectical concepts such as death-life and death-fidelity: Mişima opens a nihilistic path by maximizing them. In addition, the author sends a message to the readers and through it to the community by asking a series of fundamental questions throughout the story: What is the highest goal in life: a dignified death, loyalty to the homeland, or a worthless life? The writer, showing all this in a patriotic background, ends the story with a choice of dignity. The end of the work makes the readers think. As a result, important questions such as patriotism's preference for life, if there is no loyalty, question readers' view of real life. The article also analyzes and analyzes the ideas of world famous scientists and philosophers.
