Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the role of an integrated information system in the economic and financial management. Also, in the paper are detailed the functions of the system in different management components, such as budget management, responsibilities, profitability centers, and results. By participating to the practical activities organized by PRODINF Software for the students of our faculty, we used the main applications of the EMSYS platform, available through the Web-based interface and we used specialized software tools to generate management reports.
