Summary/Abstract: This article examines the cause and effect of urbanization in Somalia. As the United Nation Union report shows that incidently, Somalia has the highest rate of urbanization in the world. As far as concerned the population of Somalia continues to migrate from rule to urban for seeking the better opportunities to live. The opportunities which are seeking are;- better health services, good educational systems, a conducive environment for business and trades. The study is the qualitative methodology where by all primnary data has been collcetd from the quiesstionnairs. The findings from the study revealed that some reasons that cause the Somalian people to migrate towards the cities, is associated with economic, political, and social influences. The core findings from the articles releveled that most of the Somalian people move from the villages to urban due to economic development, political instability, employment opportunities, and social influences. The Somalian government should provide proper incentives for economic development, including infrastructures, maintain peace and security so as to control the migration process as well as urbanization process.
