Summary/Abstract: The fundamental human right to development was the main topic of several international reunions. The latest is the United Nations Conference “Rio + 20” of June 2012 on sustainable development. At the Conference, heads of States and governments, who joined in Rio de Janeiro alongside participants representing the civil society, renewed in the final Declaration entitled The Future We Want the commitments assumed in recent decades to the effect that the present and the future generations shall be ensured observance of the fundamental human right to sustainable development.
