Summary/Abstract: The author of the article, founder and guitar player of the Hungarian country rock band Garabonciás, describes and explains his experiences with the censorship of the Communist Party in Romania. The song lyrics of the band were submitted to the local censors in Timişoara, and were treated with sympathy on many occasions. Examples of texts written by Annamária Kinde, that needed to be rephrased or rewritten offer a precise insight into the logic of the Romanian communist censorship.
