Summary/Abstract: The paper compares the vocabulary fixed in the Book of Jeremiah according to the mentioned manuscript to the vocabulary of the classical Old Bulgarian monuments of the 10th-11th century as well as of other Old Bulgarian monuments known from later copies with a view to further studying the lexis in the period of the First Bulgarian Kingdom. What is traced for this purpose is as follows:- the general lexis of JerF.I.461 and of the other Biblical books, which proves the link in place and time of origin of JerF.I.461 with the other Biblical books of the same functional variety, namely the commentaries;- the common rare lexis of JerF.I.461 and of the Old Bulgarian manuscript tradition, which proves the proximity of the studied vocabulary with the vocabulary of the Old Bulgarian monuments; - the common rare lexis of JerF.I.461 and of early translated texts, preserved in later copies, which convincingly reveals the interrelation between the studied text with the literary production of the capital.
