Summary/Abstract: The article presents data from an empirical study among teachers in the Bulgarian educational context. The opinion of teachers who teach the school subject in Entrepreneurship (theory) at the 8th grade, which is included in the general professional training at vocational high schools, was studied. The focus is on two research questions: what is the level of training of teachers in entrepreneurship education and what are their needs for continuing education in order to improve their professional competence as teachers. The obtained research results show that the surveyed teachers have a high self-esteem for their professional training in entrepreneurship education. The most current need for professional development is on topics from the curriculum related to the creation and evaluation of business ideas and skills for self-assessment, time management and decision making.
