Summary/Abstract: The promotion and protection of the rights of older persons must be an important matter for Romanian society, given that Romania is facing a rapid process of population ageing. International human rights standards emphasize the need for an integrated approach in caring for the elderly, combining elements of preventive, curative and rehabilitative treatment of their health. In this regard, older persons in care centers should have access when needed to complex medical services provided by doctors of different specialties.
