Summary/Abstract: Perfectionism is individuals setting hard-to-reach goals for themselves or others and striving to achieve them. People have difficulties in their lives because of their perfectionist thinking. One of the reasons for major depressive disorder is dysfunctional thinking style. In this context, it can be argued that dysfunctional perfectionist thinking is a risk factor for major depressive disorder. A wide range of research results shows that there is a relationship between perfectionism and major depressive disorder.
