STUDYING ANCIENT LITERATURE: FROM LITERARY CRITICISM AND HISTORY OF LITERATURE TO LITERARY RECEPTION

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents some aspects of the study on ancient literature covering the period of two and a half millennia. Special attention is given to the question about literary critic and literary history development from ancient to modern times, as well as to the research and development of ancient literature studies in Macedonia from the twentieth century.
