Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the function of the coordinator for Polish-German social and border cooperation. It analyses the activity of the third politician appointed to perform these tasks - Dietmar Woidke - a social democrat and the leading politician in Brandenburg. His activity is compared to those of Gesine Schwan and Cornelia Pieper.
