Summary/Abstract: This study investigated factors that influence the remuneration of professional baseball players in Asian (Japan, Korea, and Taiwan) and US professional baseball leagues. The empirical results obtained by investigating 5289 baseball players as the study sample revealed that the support vector machine model was the most accurate in the Japanese and Korean leagues for predicting players’ annual total remuneration, whereas the SVM model and the logit model were the most accurate in the Chinese (Taiwan) and US leagues, respectively.
