Summary/Abstract: This paper’s main goal is to present and honor the the prominent Romanian scientist Grigore Antipa. He was one of the best students Ernest Haeckel ever had and became a world wide renowned marine biologist after obtaining his PhD. This year – in 2017 – we celebrate 150 years since its birth.
