ORAL LITERARY GENRES OF FEHIM BAJRAKTAREVIĆ'S COLLECTION (130 YEARS OF FEHIM BAJRAKTAREVIĆ'S BIRTH (1889−1970))

Summary/Abstract: A collection of oral poetry Pregršt narodnih pesama iz bosanskog Skoplja (Folk poems handful from Bosnian Skopje) by Fehim Bajraktarević was created in the early 20th century and was published in 1960 by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The collection contains twelve poems, three of them are lyrical and nine are lyric-narrative, which are further divided into ballads and lyric-narrative poems in the narrow sense. He recorded these poems from his grandmother, Ediba Bajraktarević, born Mandžić. Till today, the collection has neither been presented nor received attention in the context of oral literary work. The collection fully kept the ikavian manner, as a dialectical feature of Bosnian Skopje.
