Summary/Abstract: Palestine, an important country at the center of many historical conflicts developing on the axis of religion and politics, is located in the Middle East, which is the center of the problems caused by the global power struggles. The country did not become an independent state after the long-term rule of the Ottoman Empire and the British mandate administrations. Palestine could not gain its independence after the Israeli state was established in 1948 following the Jewish immigration to the region. After this the country was organized as a state without sovereignty over its territory due to the Israeli occupation and embargo, and faced many problems in political, social and economic fields. This historical issue, called the Palestine/Israel Question, constitutes an important problem for the international community and has an extremely complex structure with political, social and economic dilemmas. Although it is clear that the solution of this complicated problem should be many-sided, the studies on the subject mostly focus on the political aspect of the problem and its solutions. The present study focuses instead on the economic aspect of the Palestinian issue. By drawing on a theoretical framework based on political economy, it aims to provide recommendations that would allow for the creation of the economic power that Palestine will need to solve these problems. First of all, the general structure of the country's economy is analyzed and the main problem areas as well as the opportunities and threats are identified. According to the results of this analysis, the actions to be taken in the short, medium and long term are determined and a road map for a way out of the dilemma is proposed. It is considered that through the way proposed, Israel's political blockade of Palestine may be relaxed or lifted and then the obstacles before the establishment of a Palestinian state with territorial integrity and institutional structure may be surmounted.
