More Recent Colloquial Phrasemes

Summary/Abstract: In this paper the authors analyze some more recent phrasemes in colloquial language. Special attention has been paid to phrasemes that are not recorded in fundamental Croatian phraseological dictionaries and have not been described so far. The phrasemes have been described with respect to their meaning and to whether their constituent parts are foreign or Croatian words. Most of the recent phrasemes have appeared in the internet. Blogs and forums form a rich corpus of newly formed phrasemes. The paper is a contribution to modern Croatian phraseology because it describes a cross section of more recent Croatian phrasemes.
