Summary/Abstract: In mathematics, nodes and edges compose the network. In spatial planning, space can be defined as a network. To be able to write an operational definition of spatial network, I need to identify and explain all types of spatial network’s components, groups of mechanisms and casual links. Thus, in this article, I propose a causal test model, written in Python and other compatible modules, and tested in Constanța and its periurban area (Romania). The long-term aim of my research is to formulate a stable causal model, which will be presented in my doctoral thesis. This model will reconfirm all the identified spatial network’s theorems for a better understanding of them. Spatial network’s definition and theorems lay the foundation for a future Spatial Network Theory. This theory will explain and predict the general causal mechanism of the entire spatial network.
