Summary/Abstract: In Cinderella Goes to Market: Citizenship, Gender and Women's Movements in East Central Europe, Barbara Einhorn predicted a pronounced erosion of women's social rights during the transition from state socialism to market democracy because postcommunist regimes are under pressure to rapidly marketize their economies and pare back state entitlements .
