Summary/Abstract: The shirt with “altiță”. The paper is dedicated to the problem of restoring the shirts with “altiță” [stream of ornaments on the shoulder of the traditional woman shirt] from the heritage of the MNEIN. The author assesses the state of conservation of the items from this collection and motivates the necessity of intervention of a professional restorer. Taking as example three shirts with “altiță” from the museum collections, the author analyses several problems of restoration and the solutions she proposes.
