Summary/Abstract: In modern legal systems of European countries dominate the Latin model of thenotary public, and this model was accepted by Serbia too. Notary public occupation is theconstant occupation of notaries.The traditional domain of notary public activities relate to inheritance law, family law, andlegal issues related to disposal of property, different status and different things, likehandwriting authentication, signature, transcription, translation, and the like. Ratio legis ofnotary public service is in fact of taking jurisdiction regarding proper preparation andissuance of documents, official certifications, deposit and court-ordered treatment
