Austria, Bulgaria and the Crisis in European Culture

Summary/Abstract: A brief survey is made in the paper of European culture from its origins to our days. The author’s views on the prospects of Europe’s cultural renaissance is outlined. Attention is focused on Austria and Bulgaria, stress being laid on aspects of the cultural relations between the two countries. The report is based on little known Austrian sources on the subject as well as on researches of Bulgarian and foreign authors.
