Summary/Abstract: Construction of railway played exceptional role in the history of Europe and in the history of the entire World. However, the construction of the Hejaz railway; the most significant economic and investment project in Ottoman state at the time of its downfall, was nearly a mythical symbol of the states’ sustainability, or at least thus it was presented both at home and in the World.
