Summary/Abstract: For almost all the countries in the world, the main form of international trade in goods is international or regional trade. Freedom of trade and industry, according to which any person is free to practice any trade or exercise, whatever profession, art or trade they deem appropriate, could not be absolute. Moreover, the need to regulate trade rules has never been ignored, stating that those interested in carrying out such activities freely must still comply with the regulations that will be issued by competent authorities, according to the policies established at the European Union level. This paper briefly addresses some issues relating to the relationship of European competition policy with other policies at EU level.
