Summary/Abstract: One of the biggest challenges for the average Pole is counting items whose name is a plurale tantum noun. In principle, according to the language norm, some of the countable plurale tantum nouns can be counted using collective numerals, but analysis of quotations from the National Corpus of Polish and the WWW indicates that this norm is rejected by the language users. The author will present a subdivision of plurale tantum nouns according to the ways they are counted. Furthermore, the statistics of those ways will be presented, based on NCP and Web resources.
