Summary/Abstract: Digitalization is the result of the fourth industrial revolution, which has been in full swing for some time, and the changes it brings about. In the world of financial institutions, digitalization introduces a host of new elements, such as new channels of communication and sales, new amounts of customer data, and new service platforms. The trend of digitalization has been accompanied by the dominant use of cyber space as one of the basic channels of communication, which burdens the world of financial institutions with both old and some new risks accompanying cyber environment. How do financial institutions cope with the emerging challenges, how do domestic and European regulations and initiatives respond when it comes to the resilience of financial institutions to cyber risks?
