Summary/Abstract: With the second wave of feminist movement, the concept of “state feminism” emerged and policies that states are one of the main actors in ensuring gender equality and which should be implemented to achieve this equality were brought to the agenda. One of the tools used in this area in various countries of the world has been the establishment of a special ombudsman that deals with complaints about discrimination. Quite established at a date close to the Ombudsman Institution Turkey is important in terms of the creation of gender-sensitive policies. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the contribution of this Institution to the public administration's sensitivity towards gender equality based on the decisions of the Ombudsman Institution Turkey. In the study, the annual reports published by the Ombudsman Institution Turkey between 2014-2019 were analyzed using the content analysis method. In the research conducted, it has been observed that the complaints about the women's rights to the Authority remained at a low level in terms of quantity. However, when the content of the decisions taken by the Authority regarding women's rights is examined, it is concluded that public administration makes decisions that contribute to gender-sensitive action.
