Summary/Abstract: The article provides a brief overview of the oil and gas ecology of the Caspian Sea. It is shown that with the increasing intensity of oil and gas production in the Caspian Sea, it is very important that all environmental protection measures be thoroughly observed by oil-gas companies operating in the five countries of the Caspian region.
