Summary/Abstract: The object of study was the embedded plate located above the entrance to the Sary Gyuzel bathhouse. It was found that it was originally attached above the entrance to the city mosque — Khan Jami. Later, as a result of repair, the embedded plate was removed and mounted in the masonry of Sary Gyuzel city bath. I believe that this inscription is directly related to the foundation of Bakhchisaray. As a result of studying its text, a weighty argument was received for dating the foundation of this capital of the Crimean Khanate by 939 AH.
