Summary/Abstract: The author sees real profits of studying English by the students of Russian. These profits are: the efficiency in assimilating English, and a better didactic preparation to a job of a teacher of foreign languages. She also suggests close cooperation of a teacher of English with teachers of Russian in creating the philological background of the students.
