CLASSWORK WITH FOREIGN STUDENTS ON THE BASIS OF CHAPTER “EASTER” FROM THE YEAR OF THE LORD BY I.S. SHMELEV

Summary/Abstract: Ways of the formation of sociocultural competence of students-philologists who work on Christian themes in literature at Russian lessons is the subject of the author’s research interest. In her paper the author shares her experience of research on the chapter “Easter” from the work The Year of the Lord by Ivan Sergeyevich Shmelev, a Russian author who belonged to the Russian emigratory community in the first half of the twentieth century. The paper outlines methodical aspect of familiarisation of foreign students-philologists with the picture of Orthodoxy as reflected in works of fiction.
