Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to develop a typology of non-processing characteristics and to find out their specifics in the descriptions of Olga Kobylianska. The novelty of scientific research is that for the first time the classification of the non-processing characteristics and its manifestation in Olga Kobylyanska's idiostyle is proposed. The relevance of the article is determined by the need of further in-depth study of Olga Kobylyanskaya idiostyle in order to form a cognitive-pragmatic conception of the writer's artistic discourse. In the article as the main general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis are used, as well as linguistic – descriptive, structural and comparative-historical methods. Conclusions. Olga Kobylyanska in the essay "Battle" uses a lot of non-processing characteristics for multidimensional representation of reality: ontological (in form, size, space, time, material, physical properties, relation), axiological, aesthetic, emotional, sensory (visual, tactile, olfactory, sound, touch) which can be expressed by adjectives, nouns and descriptive constructs. Sensory characteristics as the main way of reality reflection create a voluminous panorama of the non-linguistic situation. Markers of sound characteristic are abstract nouns that can be expressed by adjectives, denoting syncretic relations. The effect of synergy in artistic text is created by different kinds of sensory information. The olfactory characteristic is the least represented. It is reproduced by descriptive constructions. The author uses generic names to denote the visual characteristics, which function both to indicate the spectrum of color features and to distinguish a specific one.
