Summary/Abstract: Although numerous minority groups lived in the former Soviet Union, only few of them are known as characters of Russian popular jokes. Jews in Russian jokes are clever at business and sophisticated in their life strategies. The linguistic behavior of the corresponding characters supports their characteristics.
