REVIEW OF THE MONOGRAPH BOYCHUK TARAS, MOYSEY ANTONIY “THE FIRST 30 YEARS OF THE CHERNIVTSI STATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE (1944–1974)

Summary/Abstract: The review is devoted to the main stages in the history of the educational institution, what was formed as a scientific monograph. It reveals the process of foundation and formation of BSMU for the first 30 years of its activity (1944–1974). The institution was referred to the Chernivtsi State Medical Institute. The book was published on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the University in 2019. A big majority of materials were published for the first time and have been found in the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine (Kyiv), the State Archives of Chernivtsi Oblast, the BSMU Historical and Medical Museum, family archives, as well as scientific works of employees, published before 1974, memoir literature, etc. Many archival materials, photographs, schemes, etc. have been published with analytical comments and interviews.
